Day Covert Urban Operations Training

Following a subject through city streets, covertly entering a living space, searching for intelligence, and deploying surveillance devices are not skills that come naturally. Join Blackline for one (or both) of our Covert Urban Operations sessions in downtown Hamilton. This is the Day session. For our Night session, click here.

What to Expect

• Three hours of foot surveillance fundementals training. Learn the basics of the foot follow, including team structure, communications, and handoffs. Work to acquire a subject, track them, and house them, all without burning your team.
• Three hours of covert entry training. Learn how to approach and enter a space without drawing attention, search a room for threats, and transition into black bag operations (searching for information and deploying surveillance devices)
• A final exercise where your team acquires and tracks a target while a team makes entry to conduct intelligence gathering.
• Daytime and nightime event options

What to Bring

• Civilian clothes appropriate for Hamilton Ontario and the projected weather
• The basic equipment required for Blackline Events (click here to see the list)
• A cell phone with Zello installed, and a pair of earphones / earbuds, or covert headset.

Recommended Items (not required)

• An airsoft handgun or machine pistol (no rifles or long SMGs), stored in an non-descript bag
• A trigger lock or other device to make your airsoft inoperable and secure
• A covert holster or bag you'd use for making entry
• Night vision optics (if you select the night event option)
• If driving, a vehicle that you may not mind using to move team members in

• The hotel has provided approval for this event
• Detailed event plans will be provided to the Hamilton Police Service
• The event requires 16 participants to run. Without them the event will be cancelled and tickets fully refunded.
